Youth Logo Competition: Entry Rules and Terms & Conditions

To keep the competition completely fair, our Executive Board will judge all the entries blindly. This means they won’t see your name, age, or which city you live in—they will only see your design.

To help us keep things totally anonymous, please follow these simple rules.

How to Keep Your Entry Anonymous

  • No personal details on your artwork: Please do not put your name, signature, initials, age, school, or city anywhere on the design itself.
  • Keep file names plain: Give your file a simple name (like newcastle-logo.png or my-entry.jpg). Make sure your name or city isn’t in the file name.
  • No personal info in descriptions: If you write a short note to explain your design, don’t mention where you live or go to study/work.

Important: Keep it off Social Media

  • Don’t post your design online yet: To make sure the judging stays completely fair, please do not share your design on social media (like Instagram, TikTok, X, or Facebook) before the official winner is announced on 1st October. Sharing your artwork online early could mean your entry has to be disqualified.

Who Can Enter

  • The competition is open to anyone aged up to 25 years old living in any of our global partner Newcastles.
  • You need to upload your entry by midnight (UK Time) on Tuesday September 1st 2026.

Design Tips & Formats

  • The design must be your own original work.
  • Keep it simple, modern, and clear. Remember, it needs to look good on a tiny phone screen, printed on a document, or stamped on a t-shirt.
  • Please upload your design as a high-quality digital file (PNG, JPEG, or PDF).
  • Please keep your file size under 5MB.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Age & Eligibility: You must be aged 25 or under when you enter. If you are under 16, please make sure you have permission from a parent or guardian.
  2. Your Own Work: By entering, you promise that the design is completely your own work and doesn’t use anyone else’s copyrighted images, logos, or stock art.
  3. Staying Anonymous: If an entry has your name or location written on the artwork itself, we may have to remove it from the competition to keep the blind judging fair.
  4. Social Media: To protect the fairness of the vote, do not post or share your design on any public social media accounts or websites until the winner is officially announced on 1st October. Doing this early may get your entry disqualified.
  5. How the Winner is Picked: The Executive Board will look at all the anonymous entries and pick a Top 5 shortlist. These top 5 designs will then go out to a public vote across the global network in September. The final winner will be revealed on 1st October.
  6. Our Disclaimer: By entering this competition, you agree that if your design wins, the full copyright and ownership of the logo will belong to the Newcastles of the World, so it can be used on our website, social media, merchandise, and print materials worldwide.
  7. Your Privacy: The team running the admin side will keep your contact details safe and will only use them to get in touch if you are shortlisted. The judges will never see your personal information during the competition.
