Many thanks to Mayor Vladimir Hokr of Nové Hrady and his colleagues for hosting our conference in their town in the Czech Republic; supported by friends from Nové Zámky in Slovakia – and of course to all those from other “Newcastles” who joined the gathering. In 2025 we assemble in Jaunpils, so a big thank you also to our Latvian friends.
We celebrated 25 years of our alliance and it was good that there was the continued enthusiasm to carry on – maybe for the next 25 years! See the highlights of our first 25 years here.
Our 2023 Conference will be held in Nové Hrady in the Czech Republic from 12th-17th October. We extend a warm welcome to friends old and new to the main conference and the youth sessions. We will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of our unique international friendship alliance and setting the course for its future, discussing matters of shared interest and concern, and identifying projects of mutual value for us to progress. We hope you will join us and enjoy the attractions of this small “Newcastle” next to the Austrian border with its fascinating history and in a beautiful setting. You can find out about the conference below. More information is available from conference director Robert Dulfer, email newcastles2023@rozmberk.org and you can register online via this link https://forms.gle/jQXCNWpDUupQHFdY6
